Here are just a few thoughts on our communities. It has always been my opinion that the first and most important area of concern is community involvement. We all need to tear ourselves away from our televisions for at least two hours a month. Well how do we do that you ask? By getting involved in our neighborhoods. Every Neighborhood has a community (civic) league and every school has a PTA. GET OUT and get involved. Your community (civic) league is your first step in claiming back your city, state and national governments. We have given up our rights by NOT GETTING INVOLVED to make a difference. Stop bitching and moaning that "nothing matters" and "nobody else cares" and "what can one person do"? Well you can do a lot. Go to a community (civic) league meeting once a month and do something. We are working to network all of the Community (civic) leagues together to give the people back a voice to be heard!!!!! What's wrong with that? Oh yeah that's right, your favorite show is on TV. Don't complain then. Your PTA's are the second step in reclaiming you neighborhoods. Our children need us to be involved in their lives. We brought them into this miracle called life and we need to make sure they are taken care of. The schools are not public day care centers. Teachers are working as hard as they can to educate our children and we need to help our children at home. The PTA works hand in hand in bridging that gap between parent and teacher. Think about this for a minute............ Two hours once a month to voice your opinion to real people and make a difference or two more hours in front of the TV complaining to the cat.
